Awaken Membership Terms and Conditions

Effective date: August 31 2026

These terms govern participation in Awaken. By registering and ticking the acceptance box, you agree to these terms.

1. Provider and contact

Awaken is a membership program provided by Julie Katherine Davidson ABN 99 055 337 531, trading under her personal name Julie Davidson (we, us or our).

Email: hello@juliedavidson.com.au. We aim to respond within two business days. Awaken does not provide emergency, crisis or continuous support.

2. Eligibility and location

Awaken is designed for Australian women aged 18 years and over who have completed their primary active cancer treatment and are seeking coaching, community and general wellbeing support. Women taking ongoing long-term maintenance medication, such as hormone therapy, remain eligible. Awaken is not available to a person who is currently undergoing chemotherapy, radiotherapy or cancer-related surgery.

At launch, Awaken is offered to people residing in Australia. You must provide accurate registration information and use the membership only for yourself.

3. What Awaken includes

  • access to the Awaken member portal while your membership is active;
  • access to a private Facebook community, subject to the Community Guidelines;
  • one live group coaching session of approximately 60 minutes each month;
  • access to recordings of selected membership sessions, subject to clause 11;
  • meditations, educational resources, recipes and general wellbeing content;
  • at least three prerecorded at-home exercise sessions at launch, each no longer than approximately 30 minutes; and
  • email support through hello@juliedavidson.com.au, ordinarily answered within two business days.

Awaken does not include one-to-one coaching, clinical care, personalised exercise prescription, WhatsApp or mobile-phone access, or yoga at launch. One-to-one coaching is a separate offering. Yoga may be introduced only after appropriate qualification and insurance requirements have been met.

Session dates, facilitators, topics and resources may change. If a scheduled group session cannot proceed, we will use reasonable efforts to reschedule it or provide a reasonable alternative. We will not materially reduce the core membership without reasonable notice.

4. Membership options and minimum terms

4.1 Founding monthly membership

The founding monthly price is $39 per month, inclusive of GST if applicable. It has a minimum commitment of six monthly payments, making the minimum total payable $234. After the sixth payment, it continues monthly at $39 until cancelled.

The $39 founding rate is retained only while the membership remains continuously active. If the membership ends and the person later rejoins, the price available at that later time applies.

4.2 Founding annual membership

The founding annual price is $390 upfront for 12 months, inclusive of GST if applicable. It automatically renews for further 12-month periods at $390 while membership remains continuously active, unless renewal is cancelled before it is processed. We will send an advance renewal reminder.

4.3 Standard monthly membership

The initial standard monthly price is $59 per month, inclusive of GST if applicable. It has a minimum commitment of six monthly payments, making the initial minimum total payable $354. After the sixth payment, it continues monthly until cancelled.

4.4 Standard annual membership

The initial standard annual price is $590 upfront for 12 months, inclusive of GST if applicable. This reflects a saving of $118 compared with 12 payments of $59. It automatically renews for further 12-month periods unless renewal is cancelled before it is processed. We will send an advance renewal reminder.

5. Payments and price changes

Payments are processed through Stripe using the payment method supplied at registration. You authorise recurring payments according to your selected option. We do not directly store complete card details.

Founding prices remain fixed as described in clause 4 while membership is continuously active. Standard monthly and annual prices may change. We will provide at least 30 days’ notice before a higher standard price applies. An annual increase will not apply until the next renewal. You may cancel before the increase takes effect.

If a payment fails, we may retry it, ask you to update your payment method and temporarily suspend access. We will not impose a disproportionate penalty. Amounts forming part of an agreed minimum monthly commitment remain payable unless we approve an early medical release or the law requires otherwise.

6. Cancellation

You may request cancellation at any time by emailing hello@juliedavidson.com.au or using any cancellation method made available in your account.

For a monthly membership cancelled during its initial six-month commitment, cancellation normally takes effect after the sixth monthly payment. Access continues until the end of the final paid monthly period. After the initial commitment, cancellation prevents the next payment if received before that payment is processed, and access continues until the end of the current paid month.

For an annual membership, cancellation stops the next annual renewal. Access continues until the end of the prepaid 12-month period. Cancelling an annual renewal does not ordinarily produce a full or partial change-of-mind refund for the current year.

7. Medical release

A monthly member who experiences a serious illness or material deterioration in health may request release from the remaining initial monthly commitment. We may ask for a brief medical certificate confirming that continued participation is not appropriate. The certificate does not need to disclose a detailed diagnosis or medical history.

If approved, future monthly payments stop after the current paid period. An annual member may cancel future renewal; any refund relating to the current prepaid year is considered individually and is not guaranteed unless required by law.

8. Refunds and Australian Consumer Law

We do not offer a voluntary change-of-mind cooling-off period. Refunds are not ordinarily provided because a member does not attend sessions, does not use the portal or changes her mind. This does not exclude rights and remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law.

If Awaken has a major failure or does not meet an applicable consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to cancel and obtain a refund or other remedy. See the separate Refund and Cancellation Policy.

9. Health, coaching and exercise boundaries

Awaken provides coaching, mentoring, education, community and general wellbeing information. It does not provide medical, psychological, dietetic, physiotherapy or other clinical diagnosis or treatment and does not replace your treating team.

Exercise sessions are general, prerecorded sessions and are not individual rehabilitation or exercise prescription. You are responsible for obtaining medical clearance where appropriate, following safety instructions, choosing suitable modifications and stopping if symptoms arise. Please read and accept the Health, Coaching and Exercise Disclaimer and participation declaration.

10. Community participation

You agree to follow the Community Guidelines, communicate respectfully, protect other members’ privacy, and refrain from diagnosing, prescribing, promoting unverified treatments or making therapeutic product claims. We may moderate or remove content and may suspend participation where reasonably necessary for safety or serious misconduct.

Members may share personal and health information. Although confidentiality is required, we cannot guarantee that another participant will comply. Share only what you are comfortable disclosing to the group and to the technology providers used to deliver it.

11. Recordings

Group sessions may be recorded in full, including member names, images, voices, chat messages, questions, coaching and personal sharing. Because discussions may reveal health information, recording consent is a condition of speaking, appearing on camera or posting visible chat content during a recorded session.

We will provide an on-screen or verbal recording notice. You may protect your privacy by keeping your camera and microphone off, using only your first name and not posting personal information in chat. If you speak, appear or post during the clearly notified recording, you consent to your contribution being included in the member recording.

Recordings are made available only within the active membership environment, with downloads disabled where reasonably practicable. Members must not download, copy, screen-record, transcribe, share or republish them. Recordings are ordinarily deleted within 12 months. Separate written permission is required for any public, testimonial or marketing use.

12. Intellectual property

All Awaken materials, recordings, exercises, meditations, recipes, frameworks, branding and portal content are owned by or licensed to Julie Davidson. We grant you a personal, limited, non-transferable right to use them for your own private participation while access is provided.

You must not reproduce, sell, teach, distribute, upload, publicly perform, adapt or commercially exploit the materials without prior written permission. You retain ownership of your own original contributions but grant us the limited permission needed to host and display them within the membership, subject to the Privacy Policy and recording consent.

13. Account security and third-party platforms

Keep login details confidential and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorised access. Awaken uses third-party platforms including WordPress, MemberPress, Stripe, MailerLite, Facebook, Zoom, Calendly and Google Drive. Their availability and privacy practices are not wholly within our control. Platform-specific terms may also apply.

14. Suspension and termination

We may temporarily suspend access for failed payment, a safety concern or a suspected breach while we investigate. Except for serious or urgent matters, we will ordinarily explain the issue and provide a reasonable opportunity to address it.

We may terminate membership for serious or repeated breaches, harassment, misuse of confidential information, unlawful conduct or conduct creating a material safety risk. If we end membership for reasons unrelated to your breach, we will provide an appropriate refund for any unused prepaid service, unless an equivalent service is provided.

15. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a consumer guarantee, statutory right or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, decisions made without appropriate professional advice, or the independent conduct of another member or third-party platform.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect legal, safety, operational or service changes. We will give reasonable notice of material changes. A material change will not retrospectively remove an accrued right or alter a founding price promise. If a change materially disadvantages you, you may cancel before it takes effect, subject to any minimum commitment already agreed and applicable law.

17. Complaints, law and severability

Please send complaints to hello@juliedavidson.com.au. We will acknowledge them within two business days and aim to resolve them fairly. These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Mandatory consumer rights continue to apply. If part of these terms is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to operate to the extent possible.
